Taking Back America By Taking Back Our Schools

Here is the link to the Maricopa County School Board Elections site. There are two four-year seats available in Mesa. The first day to file petitions is July 6, 2010, and the last day to file is August 4, 2010. I put in a request for an elections packet to be mailed to me. Their office is in Phoenix on Central, so I opted to have it mailed. You can fill out the request online. I'll need 400 signatures to get on the ballot.

At this website, you can look up any school district and find out what vacancies are available. There are no candidates listed as yet. There are no term limits, so as long as a person is willing and gets re-elected, they can continue to serve on the School Board.

After the meeting tonight, I logged on to AZSBA.org and signed up for the webinar James mentioned. There's also a lot of information about what it takes to be a School Board Member, what they can and cannot do, etc. Great website. Thanks, James!!
