Taking Back America By Taking Back Our Schools
During the Tempe Union High School Sex Ed committee meeting on April 14, 2014, the committee voted to recommend FLASH (supported by Planned Parenthood) to the Board for approval. A common theme stated by many of the members is FLASH's content is "comprehensive." Remember the word comprehensive. It sounds complete, thorough, factual. But when school administrators discuss Comprehensive Sex Education, it really means anything goes.
One committee member decided there just wasn't quite enough graphic content in FLASH's "Comprehensive" curriculum:
What else may occur when an instructor is teaching FLASH? Who else may go off on a tangent and about what? Tempe and Ahwatukee parents and taxpayers, this committee's decision affects YOUR kids. Please come to the TUHSD Board meeting on May 7, 2014, 7PM at Compadre High School (same campus as the district office) as the Board will make their final decision that night regarding the sex ed curriculum.
