WAIT! Look what the legislature did when we weren't looking!!!

Patriots and Friends, Sad to say, but it looks like the legislature slipped one by us in the Budget. SB1469 / HB2671 as transmitted to the Governor and signed, made the SBE a new and separate agency and gave them not just 2 full time employees but grew it to 11 full time employees and $1,705,000 lump sum appropriation. While they stopped moving HB2184 with the Ward amendment making the SBE a separate agency they put it in the budget and expanded the authorized number of employees. So it isn't about " 2 employees" as Senator Ward said in committee, they are now authorized 11 FTE.

So what does this mean?? for those of us that are politically illiterate?  The SBE has always been separate from the DOE.  They were 9 employees now there are 11 FTE's.....so that is an addition of 2.  Not making sense to me. What is the bottom line for this?? and who did it? why should I be mad about it??  thanks.

The SBE has more employees and more money. What do they intend to do with this? is my question. We might find this out eventually but this was all done without public input or debate. HB2184 was getting a lot of attention so they went around us. So much for representative government. What is the bottom line? I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop before i try to answer that
