Taking Back America By Taking Back Our Schools

Back in 2008 most of us were trying to hold on to our jobs, homes, and families while the economy began its downturn.  As usual, while we were attempting to be constructive, the Progressives were laying the ground work for future programs in the Tempe Union High School District.

Although there is record of an official from TUHSD contacting Planned Parenthood in September of 2013 for help with a Sex Ed curriculum, the plans were being drawn up back in 2008.

While I know TUHSD hasn't made a final decision whether to ratify Planned Parenthood's sexual agenda, the issue is important as early ballots will be mailed today.  Two of the players in this document are running for office in the Tempe/Ahwatukee/Chandler area.

Mitzi Epstein is running for State Legislature in LD18.  If you read her bio on LinkedIn, it is full of responsibilities and positions she has held in education.  Ms. Epstein was on the 2008 Tempe Mayor's Youth Advisory Commission/Addressing Teen Sexual Behavior which produced the following statements (pages 20 and 21 of the above link):

2. Initiate partnerships with outside agencies to provide relevant sex education in schools and improved training for teachers.

Public health agencies could partner with the schools districts to provide facilitators to conduct sex education and teacher training. These partnerships would improve the delivery of the material, increase knowledge base, and improve dialogue with students.

3. Sponsor a teen performing arts group to provide sex education.

A teen performing arts group could be created to deliver sex education information in skits and video productions. Performances and video announcements could be presented in schools and at City events. This would be a creative way to deliver sex education material to teens by their peers and would increase acceptance of the message.

Whether you support Planned Parenthood or not, the question remains, why do we send children to school?  And why does Ms. Epstein want to be elected to the Arizona Legislature?  Is it for the good of Arizona or to push for Planned Parenthood and other programs which separate parents from students?

Second, Veekas Shrivastava was the Chairman of the 2008 Mayor's Youth Advisory Commission.  This is commendable, but unfortunately his name on this report links him to the Planned Parenthood agenda.  That being said, why does TUHSD exist and why is Mr. Shrivastava running for a position on the high school board?

There are two alternative candidates for the offices Ms. Epstein and Mr. Shrivastava are seeking:

Jill Norgaard is a common-sense individual who can solve problems practicallly (that's the engineer in her) while keeping in mind where the government oversteps into family and private life.   She deserves your vote for LD18 State Legislature.

Viola Klype knows the true meaning of liberty because she didn't always have it.  Because she had to seek freedom and truth in the United States, she will value and protect these liberties for YOUR children and families as she represents you on the Tempe Union High School Board.

It is clear that educational committees which appear benign are far from it; they are a springboard for members to move up the political ranks so they can then make a huge impact on our lives, and not usually for the better.
