Taking Back America By Taking Back Our Schools
The Arizona Board of Regents reversed a long-standing decision Thursday and will allow the undocumented students known as "dreamers" to pay in-state tuition rates rather than higher non-resident rates.
The change comes two days after a Maricopa County Superior Court judge ruled students who have work visas under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program are allowed to pay the lower, in-state tuition rate.
The decision will save the students thousands of dollars a year. In-state rates at ASU are $10,157 this year compared to $24,503 for non-residents.
