School Makes Boy Take American Flag Off Bike

DENAIR - 13-year-old Cody Alicea rides with an American flag on the back of his bike. He says he does this to be patriotic and to honor veterans, like his own grandfather, Robert. He's had the flag on his bike for two months but Monday, was asked told to take it down. Ultra-Expensive School Opens in Debt-Ridden L.A.

At $578 million, the recently opened Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools complex (RFK) in Los Angeles is the most expensive school ever built in U.S. history. By comparison, the city's Staples sports and entertainment center cost $375 million.

Campaign signs for Merrianne Geisdorf

Thanks to everyone who put out campaign signs for Merrianne Geisdorf. Now we need to collect them so that we can use them again on the next election cycle. Supreme Court to look at Arizona's school tuition tax credits

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments Wednesday over the legality of an Arizona law that lets individuals and corporations divert income taxes they owe to instead help students attend private and parochial schools.

Wednesday’s hearing follows a 2009 ruling by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which declared the system illegal. The judges concluded that the system, while neutral on its face, operates in a way to have the government supporting and providing favorable financial treatment… Continue
