Common Core could highly impact a parent’s control of their child’s education and really cripple the role of local school districts. One technique in education we have yet to use, having tried all others, is freedom. -Congressman Rob Bishop

With 1 million school children in AZ, this works to be about $24 per child which isn’t even enough to pay for ½ of one Common Core textbook. Clearly, through book purchasing and seemingly endless hours of teacher retraining and bureaucracy, Common Core will cost the state 100’s of millions of dollars, which makes this a massive unfunded mandate in a time when our government and our…

A new study concludes teens’ perception of the dangers of marijuana is at its lowest level in more than 20 years, prompting federal researchers to warn that the already high use of the drug could increase as more states move to legalize it.
The annual survey released by the National Institutes of Health found that only 41.7 percent of eighth graders believe occasional use of pot is harmful. Roughly 44.1 percent believed that its regular use was detrimental, the…

The idea for massacring children in an elementary school or shooting up a mall filled with Christmas shoppers does not come from reading books, watching movies, or listening to music. Does the incitement for such unspeakable acts come from hours of role-playing violent video games?
As we speculate on what was going on in the mind of the murderer, the media are trying…
