Every Issue Except Cheating Taken Up At NEA Convention

By PHYLLIS SCHLAFLY

A national scandal hit the news when Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal released a 413-page report describing how hundreds of Atlanta public school teachers and principals had been cheating during the past 10 years on standardized tests in order to falsely report that their schools were doing a good job and the kids were improving.

A total of 178 teachers and principals (38 were principals), 82 of whom have already confessed, had fraudulently raised test scores so…

The “Violence Against Men Is O.K.” Act

 VAWA Must Be Rewritten

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), now up for reauthorization, is in major need of revision. Its billion-dollar-a-year price tag spent by the radical feminists to pursue their ideology and goals (known as feminist pork) make it an embarrassment to Members of Congress who voted for it.

Living Under the Green Thumb on Campus

One of the hottest topics on college campuses right now is sustainability. The sustainability movement is about using the earth's limited resources in a way that keeps them available for future generations. Saving energy, money, and other resources is only rational and responsible. The sustainability movement was well planned and…

"Advanced" Classes In Name Only

More students than ever are earning credits for advanced classes, according to a Department of Education study released in April. The Department's National Center for Education Statistics examined nearly 38,000 high school transcripts and found that the proportion of graduates completing rigorous coursework rose from 5% in 1990 to 13% in 2009.

Good news on the education front, you say? Not so…

Sex, Lies and Government Schools

By Doug Patton 9-12-11

"The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next." — Abraham Lincoln

It is no secret that government schools across the United States have become indoctrination centers for the spreading of a social gospel that is anathema to the values of the majority of American parents. Public education is largely run by union bosses and liberal school boards protecting incompetent educrats who push an agenda that…
