College degree might NOT be a good investment

"prospective students paying full price would probably have been better off investing in the stock market 30 years ago rather than spending their money on a college education."

College degree might NOT be a good investment

The value of a college degree is a middle-class article of faith. But exclusive new research suggests it may be far less than previously thought.

If there's one…

M&I Bank collects supplies for schools

Public schools in our area spend 75% more than private academies and don't do anywhere near as good of a job. On top of that, the schools ask for donations for paper and pencils because so much money is wasted in administration that there isn't enough left for the classroom! WAKE UP ARIZONA!!

M&I Bank is collecting supplies during the month of July to help Arizona schools.

Residents are being…

Michelle Reese, Tribune

Buoyed by the passage of Proposition 100 - a temporary hike in the state sales tax for public education - grassroots groups are forging on to continue the fight for Arizona schools.

The committees - with alphabet soup-type names like PLAN, AEN, SOS and more - are setting… Continue

Campus persecution of Christians upheld by Supreme court

Under this ruling, you could not deny a Satanist from running for the leadership of a Christian group. Does this make any sense? Can you see the insidiousness of so called “tolerance” based agendas? Such “tolerance” is intolerant of Christianity, Christian values and Christians. Let us remember that the “Homosexual agenda” has nothing to do with Homosexuals and everything to do with gaining power for the Atheist Marxists who seek totalitarian control of Society so they can bring… Continue

A couple of thoughts!

1) What can be done to prevent special elections (single issue only) on school taxes?
Kyrene had a vote this past March in which the issue was hyped in the schools threatening class size and educational cuts etc. etc. if the tax increase was not extended (for 6 more years!). They scheduled this vote during the school year when they had a captive audience to scare and drum up the support among the parents. Special elections (single issue only) tend to have a very low voter…

Merrianne Geisdorf - Candidate for the Mesa Unified School District Governing Board

ConstitutingAmerica.org

If you watched Glenn Beck tonight, you must have seen Janine Turner talking about her website ConstitutingAmerica.org. It is WONDERFUL! The Federalist Papers are on there, the Constitution. I just barely looked at it, but it looks like a great source of information and fun not only for adults but for children of all ages. Her daughter Juliette is the National Youth Director. Please check it out! THIS is the kind of sites what we need to encourage kids and grandchildren to go to.

School students at protest were from L.A.!

Info taken from the website: educationnews.org

A video posted on YouTube shows LA social studies teacher Jose Lara interviewing teachers and students on May 28 at the headquarters of an organization calling for a Mexican revolution on U.S. soil. Soon after he shot the video, many in the group left for an overnight "freedom ride" to Phoenix to protest what Lara tells the camera is a "racist and outrageous" law.

Four days later, the school board president implored the… Continue

The money will be spent by the politicians Obama brought with him from the Chicago Democratic political machine, headed by Arne Duncan, now Secretary of Education. One of the projects this money will be used for is called Race To The Top. The plan is for… Continue

Becky Yeh - OneNewsNow California correspondent - 5/29/2010 4:10:00 AM

A California bill opposing Christian ideals in social studies textbooks has passed a 6-2 vote and is making its way into the Senate.

The Senate Appropriations Committee voted last week in favor of S.B. 1451, a measure that will combat the religious revisions to textbooks launched in Texas earlier this year. The bill now heads to the full Senate.

Introduced by California Democratic… Continue
