SB 1310 is the "anti" Common Core Bill, third reading - send Sen Reagan your comments

Sen Reagan's reasons for voting agains 1310:

Just wanted to give you my 2 cents worth on this particular Common Core bill... There are many bills dealing with the same issue this session (8 of them introduced at last count) and some of them are written better than others.  Just a note to beware that not all the common core bills may be worth voting for.  There are some much better than this one.  We are waiting for one to come over from the House that basically says "No federal mandates, NO federal curriculum".  That will be one worth voting for.  Sb 1310 is poorly written, very vague and would have many unintended consequences.  We do not expect this one to pass, as there are many better cc bills being debated.  Thanks!  Michele

Senator Michele Reagan has been castigated by some on the right for her support of SB1403, the"Dark Money" Bill.  This may not be a fair assessment - Sen Reagan wants full disclosure on both sides of who is donating how much to what causes and issues.  Arizonans should know when 'out of Staters' are trying to influence our internal politics - on both sides.

"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain." That's what liberal labor unions and billionaire limousine-liberals like George Soros hope we do – pay no attention to the people trying to buy Arizona elections with shady Dark Money. The Left is attempting to push their liberal agenda by dumping millions of Dark Money dollars into Arizona in an attempt to sway voters to their socialist agenda. Why should we let New York and California liberals have more of a say in our state than Arizona voters? Our elections should be sacred. Senator Michele Reagan is championing election integrity with SB1403. We urge you to support Sen. Reagan and SB1403 to make sure your vote counts in Arizona.

Waiting for the house to pass a bill? How is this acceptable?  Do you remember last year when the Senate passed PAARC via a Rich Crandall amendment to HB 2425?  How did she vote on that? Are amendments only offered/passed when they seem to favor CCSS?  Remember Reagan's vote on O'brewercare?  http://www.gilbertwatch.com/index.cfm/blog/the-gang-of-six-by-super... Sorry, I am less than impressed with the answer given, but hope springs eternal if she means it.

What "bill" is she waiting for??  if this other bill is so much better let us know so we can follow it and make sure it gets out of committee and over to the Senate so she and vote for it.  The committee chairs are starting to sit on bills they have no interest in so it is possible the "other bill" will never make it to the Senate.  We have been told that all bills NOW are out of their respective houses and transferred to their opposite:  house bills have been sent to the Senate.   How do we know there IS another bill or that one hasn't been canned in the house??  Seems like she is hoping we will just drop this and she can later say "I don't know what happened"  which basically is nothing but a CYA.

I'm not stumping for Reagan-just giving her response. Is it BS? Yeah probably
